Something dark and sinister has risen to the surface of the Earth and made its den on the forest floor. An escaped Cerberus roams the undergrowth, covered in moss, flowers and spices, still smelling of the resinous underworld. Corner him at your own risk.

Cerberus Fougere opens with a delicious apricot note, supported with spicy-sweet woody star anise. The balsamic fruity opening emphasises the fruity aspect of Egyptian geranium. A barely discernible touch of clove dances in the heart of the fragrance. Orris keeps it earthy, while herbaceous woody lavender and sweet nutmeg balance the rounder fruity notes.

The dry down is expansive - rich, balsamic, resinous and mossy. Nothing here is sharp, bitter, or leafy, but rather dark and languid. There’s a sense of extreme power at rest, the way the thick sap of an 800 year old black hemlock flows, its movement imperceptible.

Labdanum, opoponax and styrax mingle with balsam fir and black hemlock in a celebration of resin. Earthy patchouli, vetiver and cardamom provide spicy/woody notes of forest floor along with a beautiful dark green moss accord. A bit of coumarin and a powdery woody musk anchor the fragrance with a bit of softness and warmth.
